How to Talk About the TPT Sale on Instagram
Dec 01, 2025Here's the thing most people forget when they talk about a TPT Sitewide sale on Instagram:
If your post is the same as everyone else's, people will just keep scrolling.
Really. If you post the same default graphic, or something similar, people will scroll right past it because they'll think they've seen it before.
The same concept applies if your post looks a lot like an ad.
So instead of posting just another graphic about the sale, it's much more effective to use your posts to highlight the value of your specific products.
You don't just want your audience to shop the sale. You want them to shop your store (during the sale). Which is a different marketing focus than just telling them that everything is up to 25% off. You want to convince them that they need your products and, bonus, those very products happen to be up to 25% off during the sale.
Which means you don't need to spend time worrying about the perfect graphic. And, you can try one of these content ideas instead

Post Idea #1
Share a carousel of mockups of your best sellers. Create a title slide that introduces your best sellers and an end slide that includes the sale discount code. Use the caption to talk about the sale.
For example:
- Title Slide:
- Image: either an image of all 6 resources, or an image of one of the resources, or use your typical cover slide template
- Text: 6 resources that teachers love right now
- Slide 2-7: 1 slide per best seller. For each slide:
- Image: either a photo of the product or a digital mockup of the product
- Text: product title and very very short description. Like: Multi-Step Word Problem Task Cards - 20 task cards that focus on TEKS 3.4A and 3.5A.

- Image: same image as your title slide, or a graphic like a shopping cart
