Why I'm Not Trying to Scale to Seven Figures (and You Don't Have to Either)
Sep 04, 2025
You’ve probably seen the posts.
“I hit $100k months!”
“Here’s how I scaled to seven figures in one year!”
“If you’re not aiming for massive growth, what’s the point?”
And listen—there’s nothing wrong with those milestones. I celebrate other women creating wealth and success in ways that feel aligned for them.
But here’s the truth: I’m not trying to scale to seven figures.
And if that’s not your goal either? That’s more than okay.
Let me tell you why I made this choice—and why it might give you permission to build your business differently, too.
I don't want to burn out building a life I don't want
I’m a business coach and brand strategist for women growing their online businesses on the side of their full-time careers.
That means my clients—and me, too—are building with limited hours, limited energy, and a very real need for boundaries. We’re not trying to burn the candle at both ends. We’re not chasing “scale” just because the internet said we should.
I’m not interested in trading all my free time, weekends, or mental peace for a revenue number that doesn’t actually mean anything to me.
What changed everything for me? Clarity.
I’ll be honest: I’ve definitely felt the pressure to “go big or go home.”
The noise online can make it feel like you’re behind if you’re not constantly launching, optimizing, growing, scaling. But the turning point came when I asked myself a simple question:
What do I actually want this business to do for my life?
The answer surprised me.
I didn’t want to leave my full-time job.
I didn’t want to manage a huge team.
I didn’t want 7-figure pressure just to prove I could handle it.
I wanted consistent income, meaningful work, and a business that fit into my life—not one that took it over.
That clarity gave me freedom. It reminded me that I get to define success—and so do you.
Choosing “small on purpose” isn’t playing small
Scaling to seven figures is one version of success.
But so is building a sustainable, profitable side business that supports your lifestyle and keeps you in alignment with your values.
When you prioritize:
✅ Consistent routines that support your goals
✅ Repeatable systems that keep things flowing
✅ Offers that are simple and soul-aligned
✅ Time to rest, breathe, and enjoy your life
You’re not playing small. You’re playing smart.
Want to grow without the hustle?
If you’re reading this and thinking, “Wow, I didn’t even know that was an option…”—you’re not alone.
We’ve been so conditioned to believe that more = better that it can feel rebellious to say, “I’m good right here.” But that rebellion? It’s powerful. And it’s productive when you’re building a business that works for your life, not against it.

Final thought: you’re allowed to want less
You’re allowed to want a business that’s peaceful, steady, and simple.
You’re allowed to grow slowly. To take weekends off. To not scale.
You’re allowed to measure success in joy, freedom, and alignment—not just revenue.
And if you ever forget that?
I’ll be right here reminding you:
You don’t have to do more to be worthy of success.
You just have to build what works for you.
